Customers who purchase an eligible Mighty Ape Car Insurance or Pet Insurance policy during the promotional period will receive a $30 Mighty Ape account credit.

• Offer valid for policies purchased up to 31 March 2026
• Credit will be applied to the Mighty Ape account matching the email used to purchase the policy
• If no Mighty Ape account exists, one will be created using the policy email to deliver the credit
• Credit is issued after policy confirmation and will not be applied instantly at purchase
• Please allow up to 40 days from policy confirmation for the credit to appear in the account
• One $30 credit per eligible policy purchased. Customers purchasing multiple policies receive multiple credits
• No minimum policy value applies
• Each policy must continue to be held for at least 30 days to be eligible
• This promotion is only available once per eligible underlying risk - e.g. you cannot earn the promotion more than once for multiple policies for the same car
• Credit expires 12 months after issue
• Credit is non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be refunded or exchanged
• Eligibility criteria, underwriting acceptance and policy terms apply

Mighty Ape Insurance offers this discount to customers who purchase and manage their policy online. It is intended as a one-off saving for customers taking out a long-term policy with Mighty Ape Insurance.

To qualify: purchase an eligible policy before 11:59PM NZDT 31 March 2026.

The discount: one month of free premium, capped at $100 per month, per policy. This is applied to the first month for monthly policies and pro-rata for an annual policy. The dollar value of the free month is fixed at the start of the policy term and mid-term adjustments will not change the value applied.

This can only be used once per insured risk per customer. It does not apply every month or every year.

Promotion interactions: this promotion stacks with ongoing discounts such as the multi-policy discount and the annual payment discount, and may also be used alongside the $30 Mighty Ape voucher promotion while that offer remains valid.

To qualify: your pet must be under 6 months old at the time your policy with Mighty Ape Insurance begins. To ensure the discount applies, the pet’s date of birth must be entered correctly when requesting a quote.

The discount: up to three months of free premiums, capped at $100 per month per pet. This is applied to the first three months for monthly policies and pro-rata for an annual policy. The dollar value of the free months is fixed at the start of the policy term and mid-term adjustments will not change the value applied.

1. Eligibility criteria
   
   1. To qualify for the Mighty Ape Insurance multi-policy discount you must:
   2. a) Hold more than one eligible policy with Mighty Ape Insurance under the same email account, or under accounts that have been formally linked by Mighty Ape. Policies held by the same or related persons under separate email accounts will not qualify unless those accounts are linked for this purpose by Mighty Ape Insurance.
   3. b) Meet the requirements outlined in section “4) What you need to do”.
   4. Eligible products: The multi-policy discount applies to Mighty Ape Car Insurance and Mighty Ape Pet Insurance only. It does not apply to Mighty Ape Travel Insurance.
2. The discount
   
   1. Eligible customers receive just under 10% off each qualifying policy as an ongoing discount.
   2. We say “just under” because Fire and Emergency levies apply to car insurance and cannot be discounted, nor can the GST applied to those levies. For pet insurance, the discount is 10% as no levies apply.
   3. The discount may change from time to time without prior notice.
   4. The discount applies to each eligible policy on the account, provided the eligibility criteria are met and the required steps have been followed.
3. Promotion interactions
   
   1. This discount stacks with ongoing discounts such as the annual payment discount and may also be used in conjunction with applicable upfront promotions, including the first-month-free offer and the $30 Mighty Ape voucher promotion, while valid.
   2. Unless explicitly stated, only one upfront premium promotion applies per policy.
4. What you need to do
   
   1. When purchasing a new policy:
   2. ‍
   3. a) Answer “Yes” to the question indicating you intend to hold more than one policy with Mighty Ape Insurance when setting up your new policy.
   4. 
      b) Add the second eligible policy within 30 days and continue to hold both policies on day 30.
   5. 
      c) If you answer “Yes” but only hold one eligible policy after 30 days, the discount will be removed. For annual policies, this may result in additional premium being collected in line with the policy wording. Payment will be collected using the stored payment method on file.
   6. When renewing policies:

   8. a) Check your policy schedule to confirm whether the multi-policy discount has been applied. If it has not and you believe you are eligible, you must contact us. If you do not notify us, the discount will not be applied.
   9. 
      b) Renewal terms are calculated 45 days prior to the renewal date. If you add a policy within 45 days of renewal, it may not be included in the policy count automatically. In this case, you must contact us to request recalculation. If not requested, the discount may not apply until the following renewal (if eligible).

   11. Your policy schedule will show whether the multi-policy discount has been applied.

5. How we calculate and apply the discount
   
   1. Eligibility is assessed:
   2. a) At new business, based on self-reported information;
      b) 45 days prior to renewal; and
      c) At any mid-term adjustment.
   3. If your number of eligible policies changes, the discount status on other policies will not automatically update until one of the above events occurs.

If there is a problem

We aim to apply the multi-policy discount accurately, however if you believe you were entitled to the discount and did not receive it, or received a lower discount than expected, please contact us so we can review your eligibility.
